The Chester County Keystone Innovation Zone is operated by the Chester County Economic Development Council. This project is funded in part with a grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Community & Economic Development plus funds and services provided by Chester County the KIZ board and partners.
Keystone Innovation Zones, KIZs, are a state-wide initiative of Governor Edward G. Rendell to build knowledge-based economies and cultivate entrepreneurship in Pennsylvania.
These geographically designated zones are designed to
enable strong and productive working relationships between academic centers of innovation and emerging industries. A KIZ is an alignment of regional educational institutions, private businesses, business support organizations, commercial lending institutions, venture capital networks, angel investors, and foundations.
